Goddess Mahalakshmi is worshiped in many forms by her devotees for attaining their different wishes or for the success in different ventures. Mahalakshmi is the one of the forms of Goddess Lakshmi. She is the Goddess who is worshiped for wealth only.

Invite deities

Before starting practice you need to invite both, Goddess Mahalakshmi and Lord Ganesha.

Invite Lord Ganesha-

गजाननं भूतगणादि सेवितं कपित्थ जम्बूफल चारु भक्षणं।

उमासुतं शोक विनाश कारकं नमामि विघ्नेश्वरपादपङ्कजम् ।।

gajananam bhutganadi sevitam kapittha jambufal charu bhakshanam

umasutam shok vinash karakam namami vighneshwar paad pankajam

I bow my head to the Lord Ganesha who is having head of an elephant, Who is being served by Bhutas and Ganas, Who likes to have jambu fruit and Who is the son of Goddess Uma and destructs sorrows.

Invite Goddess Mahalakshmi-

हेमद्रितनायां देवीं वरदां शङ्करप्रियां ।

लम्बोदरस्य जननीं गौरीं आवाह्याम्यहम् ।।

hemadri tanayam devim vardaam Shankar priyaam

lambodarasya jannim gauriim aawahayamyaham

I invite the Goddess Gauri who is the mother of Lord Ganesha, who pleases Lord Shiva and whose body is just like snow.

Worship deities by reciting the same Mantra as stated above. Use goods which are generally used at the time of worship.

Start reciting the main Mahalakshmi Mantras-

Here are five Mahalakshmi Mantras, you can choose anyone which is easy to chant for you. You can recite all the mantras at the same time too. Go through these mantras:-

Meaning:-

I bow my head to the Goddess Mahalakshmi

I bow my head to the Goddess who is sitting on a Lotus flower.

I bow my head to the Goddess who resides on a Lotus flower.

I bow my head to the Goddess Mahalakshmi and Mahakali.

I bow my head to the Goddess of wealth.

Now it depends on you that which procedure you want to choose. You can recite all these Mahalakshmi Mantras or you can choose just one of these Mantras.

These deities will accept your worship being present there so you should be very thankful to them. After the puja is finished pay your respect by making a namaskaar mudra and thanking them with a pure heart. This is the time for boon, so say whatever wish you have.
